The Ozarks GravelDuro is a 6-stage gravel race on some of the sweetest gravel roads the Mark Twain National Forest has to offer.
How will the Ozarks GravelDuro work, you ask? Here are the highlights…
Race headquarters will be located at Hazel Creek Campground, and we have laid out a killer 35 mile loop that starts & ends at race headquarters. While riding the loop, you will be timed on 6 stages: 2 hill climb stages, 2 rolling stages, and 2 flat stages. Each stage will be anywhere from 2-4 miles in length. Volunteers will be positioned at the start & end of each stage.
We are offering two race distances:
Eins Gravel is 1 loop (35 miles) with 6 timed stages.
Zwei Gravel is 2 loops (70 miles) with 12 timed stages.
The 35 mile race starts at 9am and registration is $50.
The 70 mile race starts at 8am and registration is $90.
The only aid station will be located at race headquarters at Hazel Creek Campground. Racers must carry everything they need to complete their lap(s) with them. 70 mile racers will be able to resupply between laps.
In order to keep crowds to a minimum, there will be no Day of Registration for the Ozarks GravelDuro. You must register online. Registration opens Saturday, June 20th.
Race timing will be via a timing chip each racer must wear on their right wrist. Timing chips will be distributed at packet pickup at race headquarters race morning. After picking up your timing chip, you can start anytime up to 30 minutes after your assigned start time.
Awards will be presented for Top 3 in each Category.
Proceeds from this event will benefit Team Noah Foundation therefore there will be no refunds. Thank you for your support.
For anyone that may be interested in camping… Hazel Creek Campground does not take reservations. It’s first come, first served. Plan accordingly.
